This year the class made mixes. Twitter, blogger and podbean accounts were made also. Artists visited Yates. We created fake commercials, products and talk shows. Students learned what branding was. We tweeted from twitter. We completed assignments and posted pictures on blogspot. We added our websites and and pictures to our twitter bios. Everyone followed each other in the class. Guest speakers came to talk to the class. We wrote opinionated paragraphs about celebrities. Artist profile sheets were filled out. Earlier in the year we learned about frequencies, call signs, and different positions in radio stations. We came to understand how social media is used to promote. We promoted Yates and celebrities. The class also discussed how we as students can help improve the school or if we think it needs improvement.

Editing

To complete the editing process one must create a length of time for a mix. The next step is to download a song selection for the artist chosen. Songs can be downloaded from any free music downloading website. The tracks then inserted into adobe audition. After, the songs need to be cropped or broken down to fit into the time frame. The songs are then overlapped and mixed down to file. Fade the tracks in and out and normalize it to sixty percent. Now save the selection as an mp3. The track should then be listened to.

YungNation is a music group made up of two eighteen year olds from Dallas Texas. They are visiting Jack Yates on Tuesday. Both members are boys and they have a club hit called club rock. Their names are Brandon Reed and Kendall Johnson. Both love basketball and music. They were born in december. B. Reed  was born on December 18 and Lil Faime was born on December 31.

     Mariah Carey is a very talented woman. She has a wonderful voice. I think she does a great job as a judge on American Idol. Mariah is a beautiful woman and I loved her song with Nicki Minaj titled Up Out Of My Face. I think she did a great job as an actress in the movie Glitter. Her hair is always flawless. The relationship that she is in with Nick Cannon is beautiful. I've always liked their relationship, because it is different. I have not seen Mariah and Nick's children, but I am pretty sure they are beautiful people just like their parents.

Rihanna is a Barbadian recording artist, actress and fashion designer. At 16, she moved to the United States. Rihanna's work has earned her numerous awards.
