This is my mix I made for my final exam. I chose Republic Records for a record label and used their artist The Weeknd . This mix includes ten of his songs. There's The Cure, Do It, Initiation, Lonely Star, Our Love, Party, SuperHero, Trust Issues, What You Need, and Rolling Stone included. It has a calm mood to it and some other exciting beats to add a little energy. The Weeknd is a great artist and he has his own record label named XO. Derek Hall

Guest Speaker Derek Hall came to speak with us at Jack Yates in Mr.Strong's sixth period class. He told us that a no could turn into a yes, because a no is only so far from a maybe and a maybe is only so far from a yes. He graduated from Jack Yates. He had a mentor and if it weren't for him he wouldn't be the man he is today. His mentor showed him how to work a camera and everything about it. He made money in Yates taking others' pictures for a dollar. He has a company called black Jesus media with partners and is is very successful today.

abj Last night the Houston Texans won a game. We made a Houston Texans Victory mix in JY RADIO today. I hope you all enjoy it. IT IS FIVE MINUTES LONG. There are Houston artists included. We worked very hard on this assignment. It is a mix made on Adobe Audition. We mixed it down and we liked it. So we hope you do.

my week / weekend 😄

This week was all about work. I attended tutorials and turned in so many papers. My Saturday was also mainly work. I completed four major Algebra II assignments. I also did some chemistry. I had to finish my study guide for my test on Tuesday. On Sunday my bestfriend and I planned her trip to Houston for Thanksgiving break. Her grandmother lives out her so i'll be spending my thanksgiving break at grandma's making dinner . helping her out. We planned to go shopping at the galleria. We've never been ice skating before so we are going to try it. She said she was going to help me find a job. We also planned my trip to New Orleans break. We are going to an event every night called Christmas in the oaks until Dec. 25. I didn't do anything extravagant over the weekend but it was fine. In November there will be a bond election to rebuild hisds schools. More specifically Yates high school. If the bond passes for 59.5 million then school would be able to use the money to either upgrade everything in the school or rebuild it. Although, there is a lot of people that disagree with the bond. They feel that if schools are getting new buildings and new appliances etc. that it would be a waste of money and children would not be getting the education they need. These people, of course, will be voting no towards the bond election during early voting. Everyone else on the other hand will be voting yes during early voting because they don’t want ceiling falling on their children’s head. Or if they feel like if children need a good education that they will need a brand new school to be in. a better environment equals a better education.

Guest Speaker

Ms. Michelle Harden came to speak with us on Monday about developing a brand. She told us that just by us being individuals we are a brand. Your brand is what describes you. Ms.Michelle tried to help us find our purpose in life. She has a book titled whatever you do brand you. The colors on the book and that she wore that day are black and red. Red stands for the ups and black stands for the down. The last thing she left us with was saying that followers look for leaders and leaders look for other leaders.

My bio is on Ryan Chase from 104.1 KRBE. His e-mail is ryan@104krbe.com and his twitter is @radioryanchase. He attended Stephen F. State University. Ryan has worked at Lufkin Station in Lufkin Texas and he has no other jobs. The only one he has is hosting on the Roula and Ryan show. Ryan became heavily involved in voice-over and production projects, which meant it was time to do some time in Los Angeles.
